Larry Dieringer | Engaging Schools
Larry Dieringer has been executive director of Engaging Schools for over twenty years. He has guided the development of Engaging Schools’ professional development services and resources. Engaging Schools now partners with approximately 100 schools each year to build disciplined and supportive learning environments, and personalized, high-achieving classrooms that promote healthy social and emotional development and academic success for each and every student. Previously, he oversaw national dissemination of the widely acclaimed Resolving Conflict Creatively Program to over 275 schools across the country. He is an experienced school consultant, professional development leader, and university lecturer and has worked nationally with schools on issues including secondary school redesign, systemic reform, school-wide discipline and student support, social and emotional learning, and advisory development. Larry began his career as a secondary school social studies teacher and youth wilderness program director, and has an Ed.M. from Harvard University.
